みなさまのお陰さまで、りーと私の深夜番組決定です！！！

今度は一回だけですけど、うまいこといったらもしかしたらレギュラー番組になるんじゃないかなと思われなくはないかもしれません！

細かいことはこれからこのブログで書きます。

もう二人で一所懸命ねたとアイディアを考えています。

それで、視聴率はどうやって高くするのかなぁぁぁぁ？？？

放送は一月末だそうです！

Lee and I are going to get our own midnight TV show!  It's just one episode for now, but if it goes well they may make a series!  Wow!

昨日の繁昌亭英会話教室は今年最後でした。ちょっとしたクリスマスパーティーしました。

笑福亭松枝師匠は英語で「時そば」を演じていただきました。完璧でした！しかも先月師匠は「試し酒」を覚えて教室で演じていただきました。英語ネタ月一本はかなり凄いペースです。

師匠、いつもありがとうございます！

Yesterday was the last English lesson of the year at the Hanjotei Rakugo Theatre.  Pictured here is regular member, Rakugo Master Shofukutei Shoshi.  He has been memorizing English Rakugo at a pace of about one a month - fast!

Yesterday he performed the famous traditional story "Time Noodle" in English for us in class.  It was unbelievable.  The other members of the class said, "I feel like we should have paid money to watch that performance!"

We had a bit of a Christmas party, and I think everyone had a good time.   See you all next year!

今日は上方落語協会の忘年会ありました。噺家100人くらい集まって、楽しいパーティーでした。

いきなりアコーディオンパフォーマンスを頼まれて、さっそく難波から家までタクシーに乗って、うちで着替えて、アコーディオン持って同じタクシーで会場に戻って、その１００人の噺家の前で勉強させて頂きました。

盛り上がりました！！

大阪落語家は本当に本堂に優しいです。盛り上がりましたと言っても、あれよりいいお客様はありません。

アンコール二回まで頼まれて、とてもとても楽しかったです。

写真はいつもお世話になっております同期の笑福亭飛梅さんと一緒です。めっちゃ面白い人です。年期明けたら一緒に落語会やるのがとても楽しみにしております！！

Today I was suddenly asked to perform at the Osaka Rakugo Association Year-End Party.  It was a great time - rakugo performers really get into it when they get  the chance to be entertained for a change.

Pictured is with me is fellow rakugo storyteller Tobiume-san.  He is a very funny guy.  I am looking forward to when we get to perform together someday.

My friend in Tokyo has a very interseting Espresso maker.  It looks like a giant wine opener. Making an espresso becomes a performance!   

The espresso it makes is great!

昨日は東京学芸大学で留学生の前で三席をやらせていただきました！

生徒さん達はみんな日本語勉強中です。落語は初めて聴かれる方が多かったんですが、とてもとてもいいお客様でした！

ありがとうございました！

I went to Tokyo Gakugei University to perform Rakugo for foreign students yestereday.  Most of them were seeing Rakugo for the first time, but they were a great audience.

In my introduction, I have alot of material about cultural differences and funny mistakes I've made here in Japan as a foreigner, and I always find that the people who laugh hardest at this material is other foreigners.

土曜日に品川プリンスホテルにある吉本プリンスシアターの外の「キャラバン」というイベントで勉強させていただきました。

一緒になったのは東京吉本芸人の「かりむら」さん。二人とも三年目で同期となります。数時間しかすごせなかったのに、すぐになかよくなっていただきました。

いつか一緒に舞台でれるチャンスはとても楽しみにしています。

Mr. Karimura and I were put together for an event called "Caravan" outside the Yoshimoto Prince Theatre in Tokyo.

I'm looking forward to performin with him on stage some day!

土曜日は横浜の居酒屋「ごっつあん」で落語二席とアコーディオン漫談をやらせていただきました。沢山のお客様がいらっして本当にありがとうございました。

その前の仕事で吉本プリンスシアターの外でカラバン」といういべんとで勉強させていただきましたら、横浜に着くのはかなりギリギリでしたが、お客様の笑顔に向かってとても充実できました。

On Saturday I did two stories and one accordion performance at a restaurant in Yokohama called Gottsan!  40 people came!!!

Thank you so much everyone - it was a great time performing for you.  I'll have to learn some more stories for next time!

友達のレストランにこのピザ専門竈があります。しかも友達が自分で竈を作りました！竈作れる人って凄いですねと思いながら、実はかれが作っているピザも凄く美味しいですよ！！！

This stone oven sits in my friend's restaurant.  Unremarkable, except that my friend made the oven himself!

The pizzas he makes with it are also great!

コンピューターの問題があって、それからインターネットの問題がありましたので、最近書けませんでした。言い訳ばっかり！でも両方とも完全直りまして、今後ともよろしくお願い致します！

My computer broke and then my internet system broke, but now I'm back!!!

一昨日箕面市まで落語しにいきました。

そこでなんと、スロベニアの女性二人に会いました！

めっちゃ珍しいですよ。

ご存じと思いますが、私の両親はスロベニアからカナダに移民しましたので、私の血は１００％スロベニアですよ。

とてもとても嬉しかったです。

I went to perform Rakugo in Mino, outside Osaka two days ago, and got a huge surprise. 

I met not one, but two Slovenian young ladies, in the same day!!!

This is really a rare occurence in Japan.  If you don't believe me, try looking for Slovenians in Japan yourself, or anywhere else for that matter, outside of New Toronto and perhaps Cleveland (and Slovenia itself).

Marina lives here with her family, and Yasmina is a student studying Japanese.  She also speaks Korean and English (and is fluent in Slovenian as well!!!)

I really made my day!  Thanks ladies!

昨日、私の一番大好きなイタリアンレストランでランチのパスタ頼んだら、驚きました。

ビートパスタでした、人生初めてでございました！！ビート分かりますか？ボルシチで使われている野菜です。

パスタの色凄いですね！！

とてもとても美味しかったです。

Yesterday, before I headed off to Sasayama, I had a bit of lunch at my favourite Italian restaurant, La Lanterna.

I ordered the pasta of the day, but did I get a shock.  Look at the colour of this beet pasta!

It was actually quite deliciious, if a little bit unusual...

昨日篠山まで行きまして、１５０人の研究者の前で英語落語をやらせていただきました。

ネタはうちの師匠の「宿題：」、英語で"Homework".  日本語字幕も出しました。

いっぱいいっぱい笑って頂きましてありがとうございました！

Yesterday I went to Sasayama,. about one hour by train from Osaka, in the mountains of Kobe, to perform English Rakugo at a conference of young researchers.

I did my master's story "Homework".  It went really well.

I'm looiking forward to doing this story in Canada some day!!!
